Nostalgia

You know I really miss the St Patrick day gatherings we used to have at my friends Tom & Andy's. Events there were always warm and giving and I always felt part of a group or community. Everyone was always welcome. Too much good food, good beer and good company. Frequently it was a day long event. Po' boys early in the day when the cooking was going on. then on to Tom's Moms Soda bread, Irish Cheddar, Corned beef and cabbage, music, beer, fires in the fire place. Tom almost cutting his thumb off with an axe... Thinking about all that just makes me miss it even more.

Suprise weekend visit

So this weekend I ran to the Tricities for a quick visit and got to see one of my beautiful grand babies... It is always wonderful to spend some time with the little ones.

Birthdays

So today is my oldest daughters birthday. It is amazing to realize that it has been 26 years. It seems like it was only yesterday that she came home. A little amazing bundle of new life with a head full of dark hair. I remember holding her for the first time. My perfect little baby girl. and now, she has her own perfect little girl with a head full of dark hair to hold and be amazed by. So does her sister, my other perfect little girl. I guess that is the one thing that doesn't change. "Time passing" I mean. I must be getting older because I am currently riding this crazy wave of nostalgia...
